New, affordable shared storage system enables creative teams and video professionals to accelerate workflows and enhance collaboration
Burlington, MA, December 22, 2015 Avid today announced that the launch of its new, affordable shared storage system for creative teams and video professionals has been its most successful Avid Storage Suite product launch to date. After nearly 300 systems were sold before its availability on August 25, Avid continues to see strong sales as more customers embrace Avid EverywhereTM based on the system's ability to enhance real-time collaboration, accelerate workflows, and seamlessly integrate a broad range of creative tools.
Avid created the ISIS | 1000 shared storage system in response to Avid Customer Association members expressing their need for a small, affordable solution for smaller teams, remote workgroups and corporate production teams. It gives smaller workgroups the performance, scale and ease of use enjoyed by post-production facilities and broadcasters worldwide.
Three-time BAFTA Award nominee and 2015 Academy Award nominee, Barney Pilling, whose credits include The Grand Budapest Hotel, said, It was a bit of a hallelujah moment because I've been waiting for someone to make a product like this. It s a big-capacity storage network that you'd normally expect to find in a large facility, but designed and priced for smaller or even individual users. It's perfect for the kind of feature films I'm working on where we may need five to 10 users by the final stages, incorporating VFX, editorial and sound designers as well as the picture editor and assistants.
