Netflix Series True Lessons' (WT) Begins Production, Introducing a Refreshing Take on Education

Netflix has confirmed the production of new series True Lessons (WT). Starring Kim Moo-yul, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo, and Pyo Ji-hoon, this series presents a cathartic narrative centered around the Educational Rights Protection Bureau-an institution established with the bold mission of delivering true lessons to students, teachers, and parents who dare to cross the line. Operating even beyond the limits of law, this team stops at nothing to restore order within the school.

True Lessons (WT) offers a fresh perspective on real-life educational challenges with a bold and refreshing approach. Director Hong Jong-chan (Juvenile Justice) collaborates with writer Lee Nam-kyu (Daily Dose of Sunshine, The Light in Your Eyes) to craft a story that resonates with todays society and delivers a compelling message. High expectation arises on how theyll depict the complex dynamics between students, teachers, and parents in the series.

Kim Moo-yul and Lee Sung-min bring gravitas to True Lessons (WT), reuniting with Director Hong after their collaboration on Juvenile Justice. Kim Moo-yul (Sweet Home) plays Na Hwa-jin, a special agent at the Educational Rights Protection Bureau who tackles school issues in his unique way. Following the table read, Kim Moo-yeol shared, Everyone's passion was incredible. Reading through the script together before tackling the complex topic of education, I felt that we could trust each other and felt strong support.

Lee Sung-min (Reborn Rich) takes on the role of Choi Gang-seok, the Minister of Education and creator of the Educational Rights Protection Bureau, expressed his own anticipation for the series. I was deeply impressed by writer Lee Nam-kyu's previous works, he said. Since this is the second time I'm working with director Hong Jong-chan after Juvenile Justice, I have great trust and am most delighted to work with outstanding actors. We will work hard to present a great series.

Jin Ki-joo (Little Forest, My Perfect Stranger) shows a new side as Im Han-rim, a former special forces officer turned Educational Rights Protection Bureau special agent. Firmly grounded in today's reality, the script is so compelling, she shared. The added fantasy of the Educational Rights Protection Bureau makes me reflect on the issues we should collectively consider as a society.

Pyo Ji-hoon (Good Partner, Hotel Del Luna) plays Bong Geun-dae, the genius assistant director of the Educational Rights Protection Bureau, graduating from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology in just two years. Watching Juvenile Justice, I was amazed by how a series could convey a message to society, he said. I will do my best to learn on set and contribute to creating a good series.
