
On Air, the global streaming service for on-stage entertainment content, has welcomed three key leadership appointments as it expands its growth in the UK and across Europe.
Paul Cheetham, Talent & Event Booker
Paul Cheetham brings 25 years of extensive experience to help drive On Air's continued success in events, with an established industry network in the live entertainment industry as Talent & Event Booker. Having previously held senior booking roles with AEG Germany, Live Nation and Heartburst Entertainment, Cheetham's career has taken him across Europe, working on shows with artists such as David Bowie, AC/DC, Tina Turner, Elton John, Lewis Capaldi and George Ezra. Music events he has worked on include Berlin Music Week and the internationally respected Reeperbahn Festival, as well as the opening of the Verti Music Hall in Berlin.
Based in Germany, Cheetham will be responsible for overseeing the DACH and Nordic regions for On Air, focusing on increasing awareness of the company's streaming service to audiences and working with international artists to deliver visually engaging shows to fans across the world. As the entertainment market continues to shift with changing consumer habits, Cheetham will help demonstrate the important role streaming can play across the industry, providing users with exclusive tailored access to pay-per-view shows from anywhere, while creating new and untapped revenue streams for artists.
Brian Rucker, Business Development Manager
Brian Rucker has joined On Air as its new Business Development Manager. With 20 years of experience in the live music industry, Brian Rucker will be responsible for driving business growth across the US, EMEA and other regions globally, as On Air expands its portfolio of artists and events. Kickstarting his career in the US as a concert promoter, Rucker has extensive experience leading the development and execution of live and digital events for companies including Big Noise, Wasserman, Live Nation and Pandora Music, where he held senior management positions. Rucker has worked across multiple genres throughout his career, with artists as varied as Billie Eillish, My Chemical Romance, Playboi Carti, Dierks Bentley, Alison Wonderland, and Sech.
Before joining the On Air team, Rucker elevated Twitch's offering of premium virtual content with the launch of Twitch Music in the US. During the pandemic when no promoters were in business, Rucker helped create a dedicated space for artists to perform online for their fans, highlighted by the development of the first virtual hip-hop music festival with Rolling Loud and a weekly concert series with Bowery Presents. With a global audience prepared to engage with their favorite artists via premium digital experiences, Rucker will help demonstrate the marketing value of streaming as the industry continues to diversify hybrid digital content offerings. On Air will provide artists with another avenue to monetise their performances and increase their reach by distributing high production content around the world.
James Goodhall, Brand Partnerships Director
On Air, global streaming service for on-stage entertainment content, has announced James Goodhall as its Brand Partnerships Director. Goodhall brings over 25 years of music industry experience in streaming, VOD, marketing, brand partnerships, distribution, A&R and live events to his new role. His music career started at Amato Distribution where he ran the UK sales division. Goodhall helped build the company into one of the biggest music distributors in Europe, before moving onto successful A&R roles at Sony Music UK and Universal Music to sign and deliver multiple chart hits. Taking on key commercial positions in EMI Music UK and Warner Music UK, he managed high-profile music clients such as Spotify, Deezer, YouTube, Soundcloud and Vevo, and delivered brand partnerships for YouTube, Vodafone, Microsoft, Google Play and O2. Goodhall also led artist campaigns including Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie, Gorillaz, and David Guetta, while helping deliver UK chart history for Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynne, and Stormzy.
Before joining On Air, Goodhall was Head of Music Sales EMEA for Mirriad, an AI-powered in-content advertising platform. He ran its specialist music division dedicated to connecting artists, brands, and fans, and partnered with leading record labels and artists to deliver innovative brand integrations within their music videos to launch global campaigns.
Based in London, Goodhall will play a key role in securing brand partnership opportunities, developing outreach strategies, and building key stakeholder relationships to drive On Air's revenue stream globally. As the industry becomes increasingly interconnected between artists and their fans, Goodhall will help drive collaboration to deliver top-tier streaming experiences for a global audience.
