Yolanda Garcia Cuevas, new Vice President of EBU Sports Committee La directora de Deportes de TVE ha sido elegida en el transcurso de la XXI Asamblea de Deportes celebrada en la sede de Uni n Europea de Radiodifusi n en Ginebra (Suiza). La directora de Deportes de TVE, Yolanda Garc a Cuevas, ha sido elegida vicepresidenta del Comit de Deportes de la Uni n Europea de Radiodifusi n. La elecci n ha tenido lugar en el transcurso de la XXI Asamblea de Deportes, celebrada los d as 27 y 28 de septiembre en la sede de UER en Ginebra (Suiza).
Licenciada en Ciencias de la Informaci n, Ciencias de la Imagen Visual y Auditiva por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, comenz su carrera profesional en RTVE en 1995. Entre 1999 y 2003 trabaj con el equipo de la Direcci n de Deportes para los Campeonatos del Mundo de Atletismo Sevilla 99, Eurocopa 2000, Juegos Ol mpicos de S dney 2000 y UEFA Champions League.
Posteriormente fue coordinadora de la Producci n de los miembros UER en el Grupo de Operaciones Deportivas entre 2005 y 2008, destacando su participaci n en los Juegos Ol mpicos de Tur n 2006, Pek n 2008 y Juegos Panamericanos de R o 2007, adem s de colaboraciones en los Campeonatos del Mundo de Atletismo Osaka 2007 y el Mundial de Nataci n Melbourne 2007.
Desde enero de 2009 y hasta 2010 fue productora ejecutiva de Eurovisi n y Asuntos Internacionales en la Direcci n de Deportes de TVE. Desde esa fecha hasta agosto de 2014 fue subdirectora de Adquisiciones de Derechos y Eurovisi n del rea de Deportes. Desde agosto de 2014 es la directora de Deportes de TVE, destacando la direcci n del grupo operativo de TVE en los Juegos Ol mpicos y Paral mpicos de R o 2016.
Desde el a o 2010 es miembro del Consejo de Derechos Deportivos de la Uni n Europea de Radiodifusi n y de su Comit de Deportes, donde a partir de ahora desempe ar una de las vicepresidencias.
