Virgin Media TV On Demand brings Sesame Street to UK homes

Virgin Media has announced it is bringing the beloved children's series Sesame Street to the UK through its On Demand to all Virgin Media XL TV customers from today. Selected episodes from seasons 36 to 43 are now available on Virgin TV On Demand, as well as online with Virgin TV Anywhere.

Virgin Media is bringing laughter and learning into family homes across the UK ahead of the summer holidays as Count von Count will take British pre-schoolers through the numbers of the day, while Cookie Monster will continue to introduce the letters of the day.

Since James Earl Jones' first celebrity guest spot in 1969, more than 500 celebrities have visited the famous street over the past five decades. These five seasons, see Sesame Street's most loved characters, Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster, joined by some of the world's biggest A-listers, including Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, David Beckham, Bruno Mars and Ricky Gervais. Together they help pre-school children grasp the basics of maths and science all in the name of fun.
