Protagonizada por Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale con Jon Favreau y Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 est dirigida por Shane Black a partir de un gui n adaptado de Drew Pearce y Shane Black y est basada en el emblem tico Superh roe de Marvel.
Con cerca de 300 planos llenos de efectos, los estudios alemanes Trixter han logrado que la armadura de Iron Man cobre vida en la tercera entrega de la saga.
M s de 70 artistas de este estudio han trabajando durante uno a o para lograr efectos asombrosos en Iron Man 3.
Alessandro Cioffi al frente de Trixter han conseguido para la nueva pel cula de Marvel complejos planos de VFX.
Una vez m s lo m s complejo ha sido dar realismo al acople autom tico a la armadura del protagonista. Para ello, el equipo de producci n cre un esqueleto de acero para la armadura que le ayudar a a realizar las secuencias de ensamblado con el cuerpo del actor.
Para este proyecto Trixter us Autodesk Maya, The Foundry Nuke, FumeFX y 3ds Max para los VFX, Adobe Photoshop en PC's con CPUS Intel Core i7 y 64GB de RAM. En la parte final del desarrollo introdujeron The Foundry Katana para cambiar la iluminaci n hecha en Maya a Katana.
Christopher Townsend, supervisor de VFX, y Mark Soper, productor de VFX, tuvieron s lo 20 semanas para trabajar sobre esta historia, cuando el per odo normal para este tipo de trabajo es de entre 30 y 33 semanas.
En Iron Man 3, el protagonista, Robert Downey Jr., llega a lucir hasta cuarenta trajes que se separan y rearman en partes magistralmente.
