Appointment of Konstantin Vanag as regional sales manager brings extensive broadcast industry experience and exceptional business development skills
Moscow, April 7, 2016 Imagine Communications, empowering the media and entertainment industry through transformative innovation, today announced that it has appointed Konstantin Vanag to the position of regional sales manager for Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Based in Moscow, Vanag will be responsible for bolstering the company's existing client relationships and establishing inroads to new business as the region deliberates a transition from hardware-defined infrastructure to software-based architecture.
Vanag has enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in sales and business development in the broadcast and telecommunications industries, most recently with AVerMedia, a manufacturer of video capture cards, encoders and multi-platform viewing solutions; where he was in charge of business development across Russia, CIS and the Baltics. He has also held business development and account management positions at Riedel Communications and Canon's broadcast division.
Konstantin has a wealth of industry experience and knowledge that will serve our established and loyal Russian and CIS customer base extremely well, said Mathias Eckert, vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa for Imagine Communications. These are important markets for us and we are totally committed to providing them with the very best in local sales, pre-sales and service from the Moscow office. Imagine Communications continues to invest in baseband technology to support existing infrastructures in regions such as Russia/CIS, while advocating and supporting a Your path, Your pace approach that enables broadcasters to move to IP at a gradual pace by leveraging a hybrid SDI/IP environment. This enables media companies to fully realize investments in baseband while at the same time exploiting some of the cost and agility advantages of IP-based environments.
