Vidcheck to Demonstrate Latest Quality Control and Correction Tools at BVE 2016 05 January 2016

Bristol, UK, January 5, 2016: Vidcheck, provider of advanced applications to check and correct file-based video and audio content, will demonstrate the latest versions of its Vidchecker, Vidchecker-post and Vidfixer software on stand B10 at Broadcast Video Expo in the London ExCel, February 23-25.

Vidcheck products not only check but also correct automatically wherever possible. This is done in a way that does not impact the video/audio quality using unique patented algorithms for correcting video and audio, including loudness. Processing is performed quickly, making full use of the latest multi-core multi-thread processors without the need for special hardware.

Vidchecker is an easy to install application supporting sub-SD, SD, HD, UHD, 4K, 8K and mixed workflows. It is compatible with Microsoft Windows operating systems, either physical or via hosted facilities such as Amazon Web Services or Azure. Vidchecker is designed for checking file-based video before and after distribution, and for use by broadcasters for checking files received from post production and content distributors to ensure that file, video and audio parameters and levels are correct and ready for general transmission. Vidchecker tests and corrects four files at a time, providing a highly efficient alternative to checking conformance by eye and hand. It can also automatically and intelligently correct video and audio levels. The Vidchecker GUI is accessed through a web browser either on the local machine or remotely over a network. Vidchecker-post is full-featured quality checker at a price that the smallest independent facility companies can comfortably afford. Designed for low-volume QC requirements, it was developed for post production houses, content distributors and smaller broadcasters who do not have the file-testing throughput requirements of larger companies. Like Vidchecker, it is easy to install and use, performing thorough checks of video and audio parameters, and checking video and audio quality. It intelligently corrects video luma, chroma and RGB component, and conforms audio peak and audio loudness levels to ATSC/CALM and EBU requirements

Vidcheck s Vidfixer includes all the quality control and correction facilities of Vidchecker plus additional correction and transcoding. It can take mezzanine file formats (IMX, XDCAM, AVC-I, DVCPro, ProRes, DNxHD, JPEG2000), perform automatic QC and automatically correct video, audio and format errors. It can then output corrected files re-encoded to match the original format or transcoded to different user formats (MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, ProRes, MP4, DV).
