Frankenstein' Comes to Life With New London Exhibition and High-Voltage Tiffany & Co. Windows in NYC

Frankenstein is alive! Mary Shelley's masterpiece 1818 novel has been resurrected by Guillermo del Toro in the new drama film debuting 7 November on Netflix.

To celebrate the movie's behind-the-scenes team that helped bring the writer-director's vision to life, we're recreating the worlds of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature in the new exhibition Frankenstein: Crafting a Tale Eternal. The immersive exhibition is open free to the public 17 October - 9 November at The Old Selfridges Hotel in London and presented in partnership with LFF for Free, the BFI London Film Festival's programme of free events.

After getting a deep dive into the three-time Academy Award winner's filmmaking process, visitors can step into the lab and learn the stories behind the film's creature, costume, make-up, production and prosthetic designs, including renderings and other behind-the-scenes plans.

Guests are also invited to see the world through the eyes of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature, respectively, through costumes, set design (like the famed tower), props (such as surgical tools and Tiffany & Co. jewelry), prosthetics and even some of Victor's sketches used in the film. Guests can also take part in the film's climactic wedding and step into the icy tundra before ending their journey through the exhibition with the listening room, allowing visitors to fully take in the immersive sounds of Frankenstein in addition to the sights.

The exhibition also honors Shelley's legacy with a series of rare books curated by the Peter Harrington firm. In addition to first editions of Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus, fans can learn more about the authors and stories that inspired the famed gothic novel with first editions of Paradise Lost and works by Luigi Galvani, Mary Wollstonecraft and William Godwin.

To mark the exhibition's opening, del Toro and cast members Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz were joined by costume designer Kate Hawley, production designer Tamara Deverell and creature designer Mike Hill for a special cocktail reception at The Old Selfridges Hotel on October 14.

Stateside, Frankenstein fans can experience the film's striking visual artistry and theatrical magic by visiting Tiffany & Co.'s Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, in New York City. To mark the film's premiere on Netflix, Tiffany & Co. collaborated with del Toro on a special installation entitled Awaken Love: A Cinematic Window Experience. Each of the store's five windows, framed by the architectural design of Victor Frankenstein's laboratory window, reimagines pivotal scenes from the film, infused with Tiffanys signature brilliance.

Specially designed digital screens and animation will merge with theatrical displays; all synchronized to the film's monumental score, composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat. Visitors can unlock exclusive behind-the-scenes content by scanning a QR code on the windows. Inside The Landmark, a curated presentation will showcase Tiffany & Co. jewels from The Tiffany Archives worn by Goth in the film.

Frankenstein: Crafting a Tale Eternal is open in London 10am - 6pm BST Thursday-Sunday from 17 October to 9 November. Free tickets are available to book here.

Awaken Love: A Cinematic Window Experience, inspired by Frankenstein, is now on display at The Landmark in New York through 3 November.

Frankenstein opens in theaters on 17 October and debut on Netflix globally 7 November.
