Ningbo media launch st Century Maritime Silk Road Miles campaign

A huge media publicity campaign, the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Miles , which was jointly put on by the Ningbo Daily Group and the Ningbo Media Group, held its opening ceremony in Qing An Hall on June 3rd. Yu Hongyi, the Deputy Secretary and Propaganda Director of the Ningbo Municipal Government, and Hong Jiaxiang, the Vice Mayor of Ningbo, attended the opening ceremony.

The publicity campaign is expected to be finished in 2 months and the members of the interview team will go deep into 15 counties including Japan, Indonesia, Germany, etc. to carry out a series of retrospective interviews. According to staff, the first interview team arrived in Tokyo, Japan on June 3rd.

In history, Ningbo is the place where the Maritime Silk Road began. The Maritime Silk Road, which is almost as old as the Silk Road, traces its history to the period when ancient merchants sailed from Ningbo, passing Southeast Asia, South India and East Africa, all the way to the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea, strengthening economic and cultural ties with the whole region.
