UKTV is Highly Commended at National Payroll Giving Awards 0

UKTV entered the National Payroll Giving Awards for the first time this year.

The government-funded awards celebrate the efforts of employers, charities and professional partnerships in promoting Payroll Giving in the workplace.

Payroll Giving is a flexible scheme which allows employees to make a tax-free donation to the charities and good causes of their choice, directly from their pay cheque.

At the ceremony in London last night UKTV received a Highly Commended award for Best Re-Launch of an Existing Scheme'. The overall winner in the category was British Land, one of Europe's largest retail estate investment trusts. Last year Network Rail won, with ASOS receiving a Highly Commended.

Following the relaunch of the internal communications campaign in April 2012, UKTV achieved a fantastic staff uptake rate, with 23% of staff donating on a monthly basis.

The judging panel was also impressed by UKTV's Love Giving internal campaign, work with Guide Dogs and Dogs for the Disabled and the ongoing efforts of the company's Give. Help. Share CSR initiatives.
