DStv has confirmed that Big Brother Titans will premiere in January and the winner of the R1.7 million cash prize will be a brand-new contestant from either Nigeria or South Africa.

BIG BROTHER TITANS' PREMIERE The highly anticipated Big Brother Titans will premiere on 15 January 2023 on DStv. The Citizen reports that DStv announced on Friday during a press conference in Sandton that the housemates will be from Nigeria and South Africa and the winning contestant will take home a cash prize of $100 000 (R1.7 million).

The upcoming reality TV show follows the successful season of Big Brother Mzansi this year where Mphowabadimo was announced as the winner.

In October, Multichoice called on the public to enter the second-ever Big Brother Titians and announced that the show will feature brand-new contestants from both Nigeria and South Africa.

Executive head of programming: M-Net Channels Nomsa Philiso said they were excited to bring this to Africa and 46 other countries across the world.

We hope it showcases how people can get along.

TV personality Sidwell Sipho Ngwenya, who's a producer of Big Brother Mzansi added that it won't necessarily be contestants coming from these two countries, however, these housemates are individuals who just happen to be from Nigeria or South Africa but they have their own personalities.

Official housemates will be announced closer to the premiere of the season on 15 January 2023.

HOSTS OF THE REALITY TV SHOW The Citizen reveals that The River actor Lawrence Maleka, who previously hosted Big Brother Mzansi will return as host. He will be joined by Big Brother Naija's host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, for Africa's debut season.

The reality TV show's main sponsors include Lotto Star, Flutterwave, Bamboo, Nigerian Breweries, Pernod Ricard, Pepsi, Tolaram, and Skechers.

Viewers can catch Big Brother Titans on 15 January 2023 on DStv channel 198 at 8 pm. More details follow!
