The Film Academy flexibility the entry of new members The Board approves amendment to the regulations to make more flexible the conditions to be met by the Spanish cinema professionals wishing to apply for their entry as partners of the institution.
The directive Board of the Academy of cinema has approved the amendment of article 6 of the regulation of the entity, which regulates the conditions to be met by the Spanish cinema professionals wishing to apply for their entry as partners of the institution.
This change was one of the fundamental objectives that raised the new presidential list after its incorporation to the Academy last October. Yvonne Blake said in the nomination, "one of our biggest challenges is to open the institution to a very interesting young generation of filmmakers who must capture, more flexible rules for access to be a member of the Academy. "We need new blood to rejuvenate ourselves, optimizing all the Academy has to offer, which is much and varied".
From now on, to the application for admission as members either in each of the fields will be the following essential requirements:
-Script: Having completed a minimum of 1 feature film premiered in cinemas, in whose credits as screenwriter is recognized.
-Address: Having completed a minimum of 1 feature film premiered in cinemas, in whose credits as director is recognised.
-Interpretation: Completing a minimum of 1 new feature in whose credits are recognized its status as an actor or actress to accredit 4 feature films as an interpreter of cast, either or exercising professional film interpretation for a period of ten years, having participated as an actor or actress.
-Director of photography: completion of a minimum of 2 feature films, released in commercial theaters, in whose credits as director of photography is recognized.
-Art direction: Having completed a minimum of 2 feature films, released in commercial theaters, in whose credits are recognized their status as artistic director.
-Costume design: completion of a minimum of 2 feature films, released in commercial theaters, in whose credits as costume designer is recognized.
-Make-up and hairdressing: completion of a minimum of 2 feature films, released in commercial theaters, in whose credits are recognized their status as head of makeup and/or head of hair or head of special make-up effects (excluding digital), responsible for characterization, understood as a change in the appearance of the face, hair or body of an interpreter created by the application of cosmetics , three-dimensional materials, capillary, or facial prosthesis applied directly to the face or the body of the interpreter.
