Logan & Sons Signs Director Jeremy Asher Lynch for Commercial Work

Logan & Sons, the live-action division of bicoastal content creation studio LOGAN, has signed Jeremy Asher Lynch to its roster of directors. Lynch, a multifaceted visual storyteller who also works as a painter, designer and photographer, now brings his distinctive narrative talent to the commercial world.

Lynch is perhaps best known for helming the short film Tomgirl about a gender non-conforming seven-year-old that played at more than 50 film festivals worldwide and garnered a Vimeo Staff Pick. The Huffington Post called the film beautiful and inspiring, and it earned awards from 10 festivals, including the Emerging Filmmaker Award at TIGLFF, Best Cinematography at the Seattle Shorts Film Festival, and Documentary and Grand Prize winner at the Stonewall Columbus LGBTFest.

I've always admired the directors working under the Logan & Sons banner, and after collaborating with Logan on multiple projects I'm honored to join the extended family, says Lynch.

Lynch, who grew up on a Maryland chicken farm and spent much of his youth wandering between Alaska and Florida, has also directed The Hippo, a short chronicling a homeless boy struggling with the death of his father, and Remind Me to Forget, an atmospheric surf story that ventures into a man's subconscious. Both films earned multiple awards.

In the commercial world, Lynch has worked on projects for Audi, Samsung, Dodge, Redbull, Geico, American Express, The American Cancer Society, NRG Energy, Subway, Discovery Channel and Science Channel, among others. He is currently directing a dramatic comedy series set in a Hollywood casting office.

Lynch, who counts Denis Villeneuve, Ulrich Seidl and Spike Jonze among his influences, approches commercial endeavors just as he does his personal projects. I focus on capturing authentic emotions and struggle, no matter if the subject is narrative or documentary, says Lynch, who began making skate videos and short films at age eight. I am always searching for unforgettable moments.

As a self-taught painter, Lynch has exhibited his artwork internationally. He earned the admiration of renowned artist Shepard Fairey, who included some of the director's paintings at a show in San Francisco. Lynch's work at the show attracted the attention of Dr. Martens, which commissioned him to create the first-ever Artist Series boot for the shoemaker's flagship UK store.

Lynch resides in Santa Monica, California, with his wife and three sons.
