SBS has claimed Gold in the Best Publisher category at the Australian Podcast Awards on Monday night, recognising the best of the best in podcasting across the country.
Gold was also won by SBS Voices' Let Me Tell You which featured the incredible true stories of eight Australians, told in their own voice.
Australian Podcast Awards
SBS Radio was awarded Silver for Bad Taste in the Best Factual Podcast category, while SBS News was also awarded Silver for Change Agents for Best Current Affairs Podcast.
Bronze was given to SBS Radio's My Bilingual Family for Best Parenting Podcast, as well as SBS Voices' Love Me Love My Anxiety for Best Sex & Relationships and The New Writers' Room for Best Interview Podcast.
Director of Audio Language and Content, David Hua, said these wins are reflective of the distinctive content being produced across the broader network, including two series commissioned from SBS's first public call for podcast pitches in 2021.
SBS is ready to meet the growing demand in the podcast and audio space, and we'll continue to work hard for the diverse Australian communities we serve across our digital platforms, he said.
I'm thrilled the SBS team has been recognised in this way for consistently delivering such distinctive and multilingual content, and I thank everyone from SBS News, TV, Marketing, Technology and from across Radio's 60+ languages for their award-winning work.
The Australian Podcast Awards are held annually and judged by a panel of 160 industry peers.
