-- Broadpeak's BkS350 Origin Packager Ensures High-Quality Live Video Streaming to Mobile Devices
SINGAPORE - June 7, 2023 - Broadpeak , a leading provider of content delivery network (CDN) and video streaming solutions for content providers and pay-TV operators worldwide, announced today that telco operator Taiwan Mobile is using Broadpeak's BkS350 Origin Packager to improve live multiscreen video delivery across Asia. Broadpeak's Origin Packager solution enables Taiwan Mobile to package and protect ABR content delivered to mobile devices, helping ensure outstanding video quality for subscribers while saving costly encoding and storage resources.
Taiwan Mobile saw that the 5G era sparked a surge in demand for streaming video amongst its users. With its expansive user base, extensive data resources, and MyVideo streaming platform, Taiwan Mobile has partnered with Broadpeak to deliver an exceptional live video streaming experience with low latency across all devices. Through Taiwan Mobile's low-latency, high-speed 5G networks, users can instantly immerse themselves in the excitement of sports events and concerts, indulging in a premium streaming video experience.
Combining a just-in time packaging feature with a built-in cache mechanism, the BkS350 Origin Packager reduces the need for encoding and storage resources while providing a high throughput capacity - generating important cost savings. The Origin Packager solution packages video content in most popular ABR formats, including Apple HLS, MPEG-DASH, and CMAF. In addition, Broadpeak's Origin Packager offers exceptional reliability and scalability, allowing Taiwan Mobile to future-proof live multiscreen video delivery.
Broadpeak's Origin Packager delivers the highest throughput thanks to its on-the-fly packaging capabilities and unique internal caching, said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO at Broadpeak. We're proud to enable the delivery of live content for Taiwan Mobile's users and help the company further its vision of being champion for superior-quality video streaming experiences.
Broadpeak's solutions will be on display at BroadcastAsia 2023, June 7-9, in Singapore at booth 6C2-06.
