Jantje Friese und Baran bo Odar pr sentieren ihre lang erwartete Mystery-Serie 1899 morgen Abend im Funkhaus Berlin

Berlin, November 9, 2022 - Tomorrow evening, showrunners Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar (makers of DARK) are celebrating the European premiere of their new mystery series 1899 in Berlin. The star-studded international cast including Andreas Pietschmann (DARK), Emily Beecham (ThePursuit of Love), Maciej Musia (The Witcher), Aneurin Barnard (Dunkirk), Miguel Bernardeau (Elite), Lucas Lynggaard T nnesen (The Rain, Borgen), Clara Rosager (The Rain), Jos Piment o (Al Berto), Mathilde Ollivier (Boss Level), Jonas Bloquet (The Nun), Yann Gael (Sakho & Mangane), Isabella Wei (Our 4 c - Able World), Gabby Wong (Rogue One), Rosalie Craig (Lovesick), Maria Erwolter (The Ritual) and Alexandre Willaume (The Wheel of Time) will create quite the storm on the Black Carpet.

Even the arrival is exclusive the cast and crew, alongside VIPs, influencers, and premiere guests, will travel along the Spree to the Funkhaus Berlin on a chartered ship with the look and feel of the vessels in 1899. There, they'll be greeted with an enormous Black Carpet, a spectacular light installation, and an immersive1899 experience with recreated walk-through sets from the series, as well as a special-edition newspaper, namely The Southampton Post, printed especially for the streaming highlight of the year.

They are also expecting countless esteemed guests and influencers including Laura Berlin, Jasmin Tabatabai,Jasna Fritzi Bauer, Nadeshda Brennicke, Daniel Donskoy, Laurence Rupp,Katja Riemann, Kai Schumann, Melika Foroutan, Larissa Sirah Herden, Maxi Mundt, Riccardo Simonetti, Rick Okon, Dimitrij Schaad, Lea van Acken,Lisa Vicari, Alina Mour, Dalia, Alex Freerun, Jay & Arya,Rick Azas, and Enya Elstner.

About 1899

The eight episodes follow mysterious events during the voyage of an immigrant ship from Europe to New York. The passengers, all of different backgrounds, are united by their hopes for a new century and their future abroad. When they discover a second ship adrift on the open sea that had gone missing for months, their journey takes an unexpected turn. What they find on board will turn their passage to the promised land into a nightmare-like riddle, connecting each of the passenger's pasts through a web of secrets.
