Viaccess-Orca to Present on Securing Revenue in the New Age of Video Piracy at DTVE Digital Symposium

THE NEWS: VO Product Director of Security Kevin Le Jannic will speak on "Securing Your Revenue in the New Age of Video Piracy."

WHEN: The panel discussion on video piracy will be moderated by DTVE Editor Stuart Thompson, Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. BST. Panelists include VO s Le Jannic; Jose Antonio Guzm n, TV director at Orange Spain; and Merrick Kingston, associate director, research and analysis, media delivery, at Omdia.

WHY: As consumption of streaming video rises at the expense of traditional broadcast technology, the security challenges faced by service providers are also evolving. Premium video operators now have to consider multiple issues in ensuring that their revenues and the content assets to which they hold rights remain secure in the face of competition from increasingly sophisticated and organized pirates.

WHAT: During the DTVE Digital Symposium session, Le Jannic and other panelists will examine the main security threats to video service providers revenue and how they are changing in the post-COVID-19 landscape. They will also discuss what legitimate rights holders can do to ensure that consumers look to them to supply their entertainment needs and remain loyal. In addition, Le Jannic will provide expertise and insight into the role advanced technologies such as digital watermarking and AI can play in delivering better services and protecting revenues.
