Foundry has confirmed it will close its Cloud hub Athera after 18 months of operation.

The company said it aims to redeploy its resources into future plans for Cloud and collaboration across Foundry's product portfolio.

Athera allows visual effects studios and artists to move their entire pipeline into the Cloud, enabling them to work anywhere in the world.

Over the last year, we have gained significant insights through interactions with customers around the world who have tested Athera in different ways in production, the company said in a statement.

We believe that Cloud technology will change how customers create and collaborate in the future, and our team working on Athera have been instrumental in pioneering innovation in this area of our industry.
