
Jos Antonio S nchez announced a Plan for internationalization for Televisi n Espa ola The President of the public Corporation also announces the launch of international Clan, co-production agreements with producers in Latin America and USA and a website specializing in products of RTVE.
The President of RTVE has participated on Thursday in the cycle High Tribune Board House of America, with a conference entitled The commitment of RTVE with America. Jos Antonio S nchez analysed, from a historical perspective, the relationship of the Corporation with the American continent, with special emphasis on the presence of TVE and RNE on the other side of the Atlantic. Last week, RTVE and House of America signed an agreement to collaborate in the exchange of knowledge and the relations between Spain and the American countries, especially those of Latin America and the Caribbean. Under that agreement, RTVE is part of the high patronage of House of America.
Jos Antonio S nchez stressed that "the commitment of RTVE with America is patent and manifest from the outset. RTVE reported for more than 60 years American today, Ibero-American more specifically, since the first news, and in countless programs in which patent has become the link between America and Spain".
"RTVE is through four international channels, a powerful transmitter to everything that represents Spain in America. Through international RTVE we reach more than 200 countries, 100 million households and a potential audience of 450 million viewers in the five continents. We also arrived with the Canal 24 Horas, which emits specific contents in the Spanish language for the American continent. Just over one year ago we launched Star HD, a thematic channel with content of fiction and high-quality entertainment which broadcasts in high-definition for America and Europe. "And within a few days we will be launching a childrens channel that will be extension of our national channel: Clan international", has announced.
"Ultimately, RTVE arrives in America to 28 million households. The more than 1,000 cable operators that RTVE has in America allow our signal, distributed through Hispasat, and Galaxy 23 satellites to extend across the continent and will allow the audience to connect with Spanish content and today and the news of our country".
Sanchez has detailed the presence of RTVE in America by countries: "in Argentina we reach 100% of the population in Uruguay to 87%, in Peru to 63%, in Venezuela 64%, across Central America will reach nearly 60% and in Mexico exceeds 30%. In the United States are almost four million households that receive the signal from RTVE through all major cable operators of Spanish-speaking, and soon through the most important English-speaking. Also, the presence of RTVE through a set of commercial agents specialized in the different territories, as Colombia, Puerto Rico, the Andean countries, Central America, Mexico, USA, Brazil and Southern Cone, make our commercial action, and the diffusion of our content, is carried out systematically and permanently".
Fiction series and entertainment programs of RTVE have also jumped on the other side of the Atlantic: "this is how Spain makes their culture reach the American continent. Series as Isabel, the Ministry of time, cu ntame C mo pas ,...they have made history and the Spanish reality to reach many homes. Content that highlight are evidence of the commitment of RTVE Spanish national production, soon we want to expand through co-productions with Latin American producers and United States to develop joint projects offering the audience Spanish and American our common history and the ties that unite us.
Radio broadcasts, is also highlighted by the President of RTVE "from Radio 1 until Radio Exterior of Spain, accessible via the cable operators of television, Internet and short wave", RTVE digital, "our website, with almost two million unique users in America, one of the most visited pages of contents in Spanish in countries like Mexico, USA Argentina, Colombia and Peru". "In addition, we work to launch a page specializing in RTVE products aimed at the American market to offer, in a personalized way and with easier searches, the content of our archives and our new series".
Plan of internationalization
In this sense, has announced "I have planned before the governing body present a plan of internationalization of RTVE to reinforce this presence in America and the rest of the continents".

Therefore the creation of an Advisory Council of internationalization of RTVE, with the participation of all public institutions that are intended to support the presence of Spain abroad, will serve to seek these alliances and spread the message of the Spanish culture around the world, and especially in this incredible community of more than 500 million people who speak Spanish and that we must enhance and grow" It has secured.
