Who voted for Ty Loner?': Idols SA' Top 5 revealIt seems Ty Loner is still not hitting the right notes on Idols SA. Viewers are questioning why his fans continue to vote for him.

The top 5 (which consists of Zee, Thapelo, Ty Loner, Nozi and Mpilwenhle) was officially revealed on today's (16 October) episode of Idols SA and Noxolo was eliminated.

The night's first woo shem' was served to Thapelo for his rendition Boyz II Men's End of the Road , this also came with a standing ovation.

TY LONER FALLS FLAT AGAIN The remaining five Idols took on RnB legend Baby Face's impressive songbook for the first round.

For the second round, the contestants tackled Mzansi's greatest songs, some songs were meant to put them out of their comfort zone. While others excelled at this, others failed the task.

The singing competition's fan-favourite Ty Loner failed to impress the masses with his performances again. Many felt the Eldorado native was once again flat with his rendition of Boyz II Men The Colour of Love and even worse with A-Reece's Mngani.

Tweeps shared their frustrations with Ty Loner's fans for continuously voting for him thus making sure that he secures a spot.

So you guys dragged JR last week over Ty Loner comments. But the truth remains that Ty loner is a terrible singer. Noxolo is way better than her, said @madam_kay_hun.

I'm so embarrassed on behalf of Ty Loner. Why is the guy bhimbing every song? Last week he rapped a Joyous Celebration song. Today he can't rap a rap song They should release him, @MaabuleM.

It seems the judges on the show, Somizi, Thembi and JR have resorted to keeping their advises to themselves because Ty Loner's fans keep saving him.

Somizi told him that his performance was not as tight as the jeans he is wearing and Thembi applauded his energy.

NOZI LACKS VERSATILITY? Unlike the previous weeks where Nozi impressed the viewers and the judges, this week proved to be different. The judges felt Nozi lacked versatility even with the great voice she has.

Thembi said she would have liked to see her change things up and maybe dance for a change instead of focusing on her vocals all the time.

While Nozi seemed disappointed, Thapelo brought the versatility and humour to the Idols stage with his rendition of Jabu Khanyile's Sponky Ponky . Viewers were impressed and fans switched sides and joined his team.
