TVU Networks and Magna Systems to Showcase TVUPack 3G/4G/LTE Cellular Uplink Solutions at SMPTE Australia
Full Complement of Award Winning Mobile Products To Be Demonstrated
(Mountain View, CA - July 16, 2013 ) - the global technology leader in live mobile electronic newsgathering (ENG) solutions and Magna Systems, an official reseller for TVU solutions in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, today announced that the TVUPack family of cellular uplink solutions will be on display at the SMPTE conference and exhibition, July 23-26, in Sydney, Australia.
At the show, visitors to Magna Systems booths (numbers C37 and C44) will see live demonstrations of a number of TVU cellular uplink transmitters including TVUPack TM8200, TVUPack Mini, TVUPack Mini SE, and TVU Anywhere. Also being demonstrated will be the MARC-1 TVUs weather-resistant vehicle mountable modem enclosure for the TM8200.
TVU personnel will be present to answer questions about TVU Grid TVUs IP-video distribution and switching solution for sharing live video footage in real time between two or more stations.
TVUPack TM8200 offers broadcasters, videographers and camera crews unprecedented flexibility to deliver live professional broadcast-quality video from practically any location. The TM8200 aggregates bandwidth using any combination of 3G/4G/LTE, WiMax, WiFi, Ethernet, satellite and microwave connections. The TM8200 features unique dual encoding capabilities the ability to simultaneously transmit a live video stream while separately recording the video in HD for store-and-forward. It also has one button operation, fast start up and is fully modular, giving field crews a powerful, flexible and lightweight broadcast tool that can deliver live professional quality video from practically any location.
MARC-1 extends the flexibility of the TM8200, providing a weather resistant enclosure for the transmitters detachable modem module, enabling users to move the modems to the roof of a vehicle for optimal RF performance without requiring additional cellular modems or antennas. MARC-1s simple design and portability enable field crews to make any vehicle ENG-capable.
TVUPack Mini is the perfect solution for broadcasters, production crews, news agencies and independent videographers to capture and broadcast live professional-quality video. Weighing less than a kilogram, TVUPack Mini can be mounted directly to a camera or used in a belt-mount configuration. TVUPack Mini SE, a solution purpose-built specifically for Sony XDCAM camcorders, will also be on display.
TVU Anywhere is a user-friendly, mobile live broadcast solution for internet-enabled iOS and Windows devices. Users can use the TVU Anywhere app to transmit live video over the devices 3G/4G/LTE and WiFi connections to ensure that field reporters can deliver a live shot from wherever it breaks.
