If youre in the broadcast industry or provide a lot of video content, you probably are already familiar with media solutions provider VISTA Worldlink. The South Florida company offers world-class transmission and other services, including provisioning satellite capacity, mobile and fixed uplinks, fiber optics, streaming services, and creative and production services for the sports, entertainment, news, corporate, religious, government, and PR industries.
We provide everything from transmission to production, archiving, Internet broadcasting, and playout services to clients around the world, states VISTA vice president Josh Liemer. We specify hardware and software to support a clients requirements, we provide customer service and personnel, and were available to manage the services for you. We use several ToolsOnAir applications in our services, and theyve made a significant difference for our clients.
Among these applications is just:in, ToolsOnAirs network-based ingest solution. We use just:in in a variety of ways within the suite of services that we offer, Liemer reports. Every clients needs are different. We may use just:in as a component of our digital archiving infrastructure and for post-production workflow. We utilize just:in to do multi-source ingest instantaneously. We use it to live-ingest content, so while a live event is happening, were ingesting video and audio in real time, and when the event is over, the content is ready to go. Sometimes a lot of events are coming in at once, and each live event is getting a specific just:in channel or digital archiving infrastructure. Just:in helps with efficiency and expedites the workflow.
VISTA Worldlink employs ToolsOnAirs just:play and just:live software, as well, notably as components of VISTAs origination services. Just:play is a 24/7 automated broadcast playout server that plays SD, HD, UHD, and 4K video and integrates live feeds, router/GPI events, and real-time graphics. Just:play empowers broadcasters to schedule and manage their playout, even while a clip is already on air, and provides a traditional list view with metadata support. Just:live streamlines the playout of videos, multiple layers of realtime graphics, and router/GPI events in any live environment, while maintaining full control using a single, customizable, timeline-based interface.
We use ToolsOnAirs just:play and just:live for 24/7 channel origination from VISTAs facility and for linear broadcast, offers Liemer. Its mostly linear traditional baseband broadcast distribution but with some streaming components for Internet broadcasting, as well.
