10-02-2013 FC Augsburg Visits SGL Group in Meitingen Meitingen, October 2nd, 2013. SGL Group The Carbon Company FCA meets SGL was this afternoon's motto at the SGLGroup site in Meitingen. Players, trainers, and the management team of FC Augsburg were guests of SGL Group, namegiver to the SGL Arena and exclusive partner of FCA.

Welcoming the guests, site manager, Dr Reinhard Janta, congratulated them on FCA's successful start to this year's Bundesliga season. He made a donation of more than 10 000 euros to FCA for its work with young players: "To pass on our Passion for Carbon , we at SGL devote all our knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment to training the next generation. We are pleased that, since this September, our team here at the site has been strengthened by 21 new apprentices. Because careful nurturing of young talent is also the basis for future success in football, we want to support FCA in this important task.

We are delighted with SGL's involvement, not only for giving their name to our arena but also for supporting our young talent. While this is my first time at the Meitingen site, such visits have become something of tradition for our team and help promote the identification of both partners. It is good that SGL instills the same values in its apprentices as we do in our staff, team members, and upcoming players, enthused Stefan Reuter, FC Augsburg's manager, talking about the invitation to Meitingen.

In the following round of discussions, talent scouting by FCA was one of the main topics. This gave the carbon specialist's employees a good opportunity to find out more about what goes on behind the scenes in the everyday running of the Bundesliga club. Besides autograph-signing and photo opportunities, there was also a goal wall shooting session for SGL football enthusiasts.
