KUALA LUMPUR, 15 August 2016 Will the big four reclaim their dominance of the Premier League or will an underdog surprise football fans again? Malaysian football fans are set for a gripping 2016/2017 season of the world's top football leagues LIVE in HD on Astro and Astro on the Go.

Having secured the broadcast rights for the Premier League in Malaysia for the next three seasons till 2019, Astro will be kicking off the broadcast of the Premier League and other major football leagues such as Spanish La Liga, French Ligue 1, Dutch Eredivisie and DFL-SuperCup in August. Furthermore, fans can also look forward to UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Bundesliga, AFC Championships League and AFC Cup. Astro Sports Pack subscribers will have full access to the live football matches on Astro SuperSport, Fox Sports and the new beIN Sports channels.

Astro's Vice President of Sports Business, Lee Choong Khay, said, We understand football fans expect nothing less than live broadcast of the best on-field action. Astro is excited to bring the world's top football leagues in HD on TV screens and mobile devices. We have also launched a new sports channel, beIN Sports channel (Ch.837) on 1 August, offering live matches of European football leagues such as La Liga and Ligue 1.
