Vimond Takes a Bite from the Big Apple

Vimond Media Solutions has opened a new regional office in New York city to support its growing business in North America. Overseeing this endeavour are Vimond s CEO, Helge Hibraaten, and CTO, Glenn Pedersen, both now based in New York.

2015 saw large-scale deployments for Vimond in North America, including two important brands rolling-out services based on Vimond technology. Comcast, the widely known cable company, and Thomson Reuters, the worlds most eminent name in news-gathering, are among those launching online services based on Vimond Media Solutions product portfolio and professional services.

Vimonds traction in the U.S. made it clear to us that now is the right time for us to take the venture to the next level. We felt we could strengthen our presence far beyond the borders of Europe by establishing ourselves in New York said Helge Hibraaten. This way, we can offer high level, on-the-ground collaboration and support to our customers across the US, and a direct channel of communication to the R&D headquarters

Vimonds product line for online service providers includes the Vimond Platform, and Vimond Highlights. The advanced Vimond Platform provides a comprehensive environment for managing and delivering multi-format over-the-top (OTT) services, with full facilities for all creative, logistical, and business aspects of the operation. With its modular multi-tenant architecture, the Vimond Platform offers sophisticated tools and controls for every aspect of an OTT service, from ingest and encoding, through conditional access to business intelligence reporting.
