Actress and performer Jennifer Hudson (JHUD) has praised Idols SA contestant Nozipho Sibiya (Nozi) for her rendition of her hit song Giving Myself.

JHUD who is known for throwing a shoe at a contestant when they kill a performance took to Twitter on Thursday evening September to express her delight with Nozi's performance.

GIVING MYSELF': NOZI GIVES IT HER ALL Nozi belted out Giving Myself on 11 September after she heard that she made it to the Top 10 of the reality singing competition.

Judge Somizi Mhlongo stood up from his judging chair and gave Nozi his legendary woo shem .

Nozi first entered Idols SA in 2016, but did not make it beyond the first cut. This year, she returned with a vengeance to prove her talent.

JHUD IS NOZI'S IDOL Nozi made it clear that JHUD is her idol whom she looks up to.

According to the Idols SA website, after almost giving up on her dream, Nozi said her mum has been a big part in encouraging her to give the competition another go.

Nozi said viewers can expect joy and excellence from her performances. She added that the stage will be set alight every time she performs!
