Telestream kicks output your project OpenSource x265/HEVC El objetivo del nuevo proyecto x265 es crear el codec H.265 mas eficiente y de mejor calidad del mundo.
Telestream ha anunciado la disponibilidad de un codificador open source H.265 (HEVC). El objetivo del nuevo proyecto x265 es crear el codec H.265 mas eficiente y de mejor calidad del mundo. Concebido por Telestream, el proyecto x265 fue cofundado y gestionado por el socio en desarrollo de la compa a MulticoreWare. La iniciativa H.265 est siendo introducida bajo un modelo open source y con licencia comercial.
Telestream y MulticoreWare han disfrutado de un gran xito en la aceleraci n y despliegue comercial del x264 y piensan que un planteamiento similar con el desarrollo en colaboraci n de codecs de pr xima generaci n y alta eficacia beneficiar el sector , ha dicho Shawn Carnahan, director t cnico en Telestream. El proyecto x264 ha demostrado la eficacia de desarrollar un codec con esta complejidad. El apalancamiento de la tecnolog a x264 en este nuevo proyecto asegurar que el nuevo codec sea tan robusto, eficiente y de alta calidad como su predecesor.
Anteriores colaboraciones entre Telestream y MulticoreWare han llevado a realizar un trabajo exitoso en la aceleraci n GPU del x264, una tarea que muchos consideran incre blemente dif cil, sino imposible , ha comentado Jason Garrett-Glaser, principal dise ador del proyecto x264. Teniendo estos logros en mente, estoy muy emocionado de poder colaborar con Telestream en el desarrollo del proyecto x265, que sigue en la tradici n de alto rendimiento, calidad y flexibilidad del x264 bajo el modelo de negocio y licencia open source .
Como proyecto open source, el acceso es gratuito bajo la licencia GNU LGPL y hay licencias comerciales disponibles para las compa as que deseen utilizar la aplicaci n que resulte en sus propios productos.
