Blu Digital Group solidifies its continental Spanish presence with the launch of a full-service facility at Rambla de Catalunya and appoints Ramon Martos Calvo as Managing Director
Blu Digital Group, a leading innovator in media and entertainment digital media services and software, announces its latest milestone in its European expansion the inauguration of a facility in Barcelona, Spain. Nestled amidst the vibrant pulse of Rambla de Catalunya, the facility will extend the reach of Blu s extensive, award-winning range of content distribution, localisation, post-production, and media management services. In addition, Ramon Martos Calvo has been recruited to be the Managing Director of the new facility.
Blu Digital Group s forward-thinking solutions harness the power of its proprietary cloud-based software, BluConductor, providing a modern approach to digital content distribution and globalization services through a centralized global software platform that fosters collaborative efforts among all Blu Digital Group s facilities worldwide.
Ramon Martos joins Blu Digital Group as the Managing Director of Spain. In this role, he will be instrumental in expanding Blu s award-winning products and services throughout the region. With his extensive experience in the Spanish M&E industry, Ramon brings a wealth of knowledge from his seventeen-year tenure at Deluxe Entertainment Services Spain, where he successfully revitalized the business as its Managing Director, propelling it to become the leading player in the Spanish market.

Blu Digital Group s European presence now spans facilities in Greece, Denmark, Spain, and the UK. The Barcelona facility will serve as a central hub for content distribution, localisation and post-production work, tailored to meet the diverse needs of the Spanish and global markets.

This Barcelona office opening follows hot on the heels of the London office inauguration in early May, which delivers an extensive range of content distribution, media management, post-production, localisation, and distribution services to existing and new clients in the region. The London office also serves as the European headquarters for the company s cloud-based software division.
Blu Digital Group has experienced rapid growth in recent years, thanks to strategic acquisitions such as Dicentia Studios in Denmark, which established a media management and localisation hub for Northern Europe, and Haymillian, which expanded Blu s presence in Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. Additionally, the acquisition of Central Post LA, a renowned audio recording facility in Hollywood, has significantly enhanced Blu s English dubbing capabilities.
