We are looking for 2 camera persons (one in Cape Town and one in Johannesburg) to take B-roll shots for a documentary Race for Life which looks at South Africa. Payment is on a low paid basis.
The shots should be no shorter than 30mins, in HD and of good quality. We expect the cameraperson to also deploy their judgement and experiences when collating shots. Upon completion the freelance role will be paid $150.00, we will pay up to $20.00 for any transportation cost upon receiving receipts.

Downtown observatory and shots of cape towns business theme.
shots on the train any wildlife seen or farm shots
South African Jewish Museum
cape hope, the lighthouse and surrounding sea. giving the viewer an understanding of the scope of the passage (cape hope) any portuguese descriptions or similar, the footage should demonstrate its historical purpose.
Any long distance shots or imaginary of Robben Island.
Camera persons in Johannesburg to take b roll shots of
Soweto, shots of Soweto should demonstrate the dilapidation of the area, the neglect from the state, the lack of improvement since the freedom characters implementation ie. freedom for who ethos etc.
any graffiti or artwork in the area, slogans etc.
Mandela Museum, Hector Pieterson Memorial and, Mandelas house. Also Vilikazi Street.
shots of the housemaids going to work and shots of the gardeners. emphasising the labour.
images of white poor south africans
please label the shots, i.e. soweto. cape hope.
dont label it on the film, please use a preview to ensure production staff know what the next shot is etc.
