VodafoneZiggo geeft 30 studenten en net afgestudeerden de mogelijkheid om vanaf 1 februari een dagelijks, op de verkiezingen gericht, televisieprogramma te maken. Het programma wordt gemaakt in de kelders van Nieuwspoort en uitgezonden op Ziggo kanaal 13. Ook Omroep West zal aandacht aan het programma besteden. VodafoneZiggo wil studenten en jonge professionals de kans bieden om in concrete werksituaties ervaring op te doen.
Bijzonder journalistiek experiment Wat houdt jongeren nu echt bezig? Waar worden ze enthousiast van, of kunnen ze 's nachts niet van slapen? Niemand kan dit beter vertellen dan de jongeren zelf. Daarom geeft VodafoneZiggo in samenwerking met Omroep West en The Dutch Filmers Academy - ambitieuze jonge journalisten en televisiemakers in opleiding de mogelijkheid om volledig onafhankelijk een politiek jongerenprogramma te maken. Ze ontdekken alle elementen die voorkomen bij het maken en uitzenden van dagelijkse tv-items; van het ontwikkelen van formats, het verzorgen van de regie, de belichting en het geluid tot het interviewen van beleidsmakers en politici. Hierbij worden zij ondersteund door twee ervaren eindredacteuren en deskundigen uit de televisiewereld.
Uniek Voormalig parlementair verslaggever Jos Heymans treedt op als coach van de groep. Volgens mij maken de deelnemers aan dit project straks iets unieks en verfrissends op het gebied van de parlementaire journalistiek , zegt de vroegere RTL-man. Hij vervolgt: Zij zijn nu een paar dagen bezig met het ontwikkelen van het format en de vaste items en de energie spat er vanaf. Ze komen met verrassende idee n; we gaan zien of ze dat in de praktijk waar kunnen maken .
Door jongeren voor jongeren De enige voorwaarde die wij aan dit bijzondere televisie-experiment gesteld hebben is dat het door jongeren voor jongeren moest zijn , aldus Marieke Dekker, Directeur External Affairs van VodafoneZiggo. Net zoals Jos ben ik onder de indruk van het enthousiasme en de creativiteit van de deelnemers. Zij moeten nog een enorme hoeveelheid werk verzetten voordat het programma live gaat en het zijn in feite allemaal stagiairs maar ik ben ervan overtuigd dat het een succes wordt .
Het politieke jongerenprogramma wordt vanaf 1 februari op werkdagen vanaf 17.30 uur uitgezonden op Ziggo Kanaal 13 en deels via Omroep West.
