Globally, there are over 105M user-generated playlists on Spotify related to love, with soulful pop stars like Beyonc , Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, John Legend, Taylor Swift, and Whitney Houston topping the list.
Some of the top songs spiking globally on Valentine's Day over the past five years include Love Story (Taylor's Version) by Taylor Swift, Let's Stay Together by Al Green, Make You Feel My Love by Adele, Your Body is a Wonderland by John Mayer, and break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored by Ariana Grande.
Last year, Spotify saw more than a 90% increase in searches for Valentine and Valentine's Day between February 1 and February 13, but love streams actually started trending globally as early as December.
Enchanted by Taylor Swift, Save Your Tears by The Weeknd, traitor by Olivia Rodrigo, Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood, and idontwannabeyouanymore by Billie Eilish were some of the top tracks with the most-shared love-related lyrics last Valentine's Day.
