At the heart of the Jetson TK1 Developer Kit is the Tegra K1 mobile processor, NVIDIAs 192-core super chip built on the NVIDIA Kepler architecture, the worlds most advanced and energy-efficient GPU architecture for mobile and embedded applications.
Were excited to distribute this dev kit based on the most advanced ARM SOC, the NVIDIA Tegra K1 mobile processor. The Tegra K1 provides the highest performance, most energy efficient platform for mobile, computer vision, robotics, and other embedded applications, based on the integration of a quad-core ARM CPU and a Kepler-based GPU, stated SECOs Sales Director and Chief Strategy Officer, Gianluca Venere.
He continues, The Tegra K1 mobile processor features an ARM Cortex -A15 32 bit processor which will also be available as a pin-to-pin compatible ARMv8 64 bit based processor with all the graphics performance, parallel computing capabilities and CUDA library support that NVIDIA is famous for.
The Jetson TK1 Developer Kit, with unmatched performance of 326 gigaflops, is ideal for developing a wide range of compute-intensive applications, and high-performance, energy efficient embedded systems.
With a complete suite of development and profiling tools based on NVIDIA CUDA , the world's most pervasive parallel computing platform and programming model, and out-of-the-box support for cameras and other peripherals, developers have everything they need to realize the future of embedded applications.
