Viewers watching the 2022 FIFA Men's World Cup in Qatar were treated to a spectacular studio set in between, at halftime, and after matches. Spread out across the expansive Doha Corniche, Fox Sports' activation along the 4.4-mile waterfront promenade featured multiple stages, an an all-LED floor that incorporated elements in augmented reality, subtle and obvious nods to the host nation, and a lot more. Their effort resulted in winning the 2023 Sports Emmy for Outstanding Technical Team Studio.

At the ceremony on Monday night, Fox Sports' VP, Remote Studio Operations, Rod Conti, and VP, Field Operations and Engineering, Kevin Callahan, detailed the work that went into turning this idea into a tangible reality and how this set transformed their coverage of the tournament.
