RT to broadcast Ireland Womens Six Nations 5 March: RT Sport have announced today that it will broadcast live coverage of the Ireland Womens Rugby 6 Nations clash with France live on RT 2fm and on RT .ie this coming Friday as part of packed weekend of rugby action.
The Ireland Women won an historic first ever Triple Crown after beating Scotland 30-3 10 days ago, and now are aiming to add a possible Grand Slam to their earlier triumph with two games remaining in the Championship. The Ireland v France women's match will be broadcast live from Ashbourne RFC this Friday 8th March from 7.00pm on RT 2fm's Game On, presented by Damien O'Meara with commentary from Michael Corcoran and former Irish International Rosie Foley. The game will also be streamed live on RT .ie at 7.30pm within the island of Ireland, with rte.ie/sport in conjunction with www.irishrugby.ie .Highlights of the game will also be shown on RT Television's coverage of the RBS 6 Nations on Saturday afternoon.
Coverage of the Ireland Women's 6 Nations game is a further addition to a packed weekend of rugby available to the public free-to-air this weekend across RT .
Friday night will also see the live broadcast of the Ireland U20's 6 Nations match against France U20's at Dubarry Park in Athlone on RT Two television. Saturday will feature the RBS 6 Nations live double header with Scotland V Wales followed by Ireland V France at the Aviva Stadium, with coverage kicking off at 2.00pm on RT Two television, RT Radio 1 Saturday Sport and RT .ie.
The RBS 6 Nations action then continues on Sunday with England v Italy live from Twickenham at 2.30pm on RT Two, RT .ie and updates on RT Radio 1. Monday night will see Alan Quinlan, Bernard Jackman and Victor Costello review all the weekend's rugby on Against The Head at 8.00pm on RT Two.
