On Monday 27 January at 03h00 Channel O screens the 56th Grammy Awards live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles in America to South African audiences.
Previous Grammy winner, LL Cool J, will host the evening, which features live performances and a celebrity guest list.
Music fans can look forward to seeing their favourite artists receive awards in 82 categories, including the highly anticipated Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.
The nominees in these categories are:

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will receive the 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award for their contribution to music in the super band The Beatles.
Channel O will screen a repeat broadcast of the awards on Monday 27 January at 20h30.

Live GRAMMYS broadcastDStvs Channel O, dubbed the Original African channel, has secured the rights to broadcast the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, which takes place on Sunday 13 February at 8pm ET in Los Angeles, giving it a 3:00am CAT broadcast time on Monday 14 February in Africa.
