TC Group Products Nominated for 5 TEC Awards 20 Nov 2013

TC Group is delighted to announce that it has received five nominations across its individual brands in the 29th Annual Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards, one of professional audio's biggest accolades.

Hundreds of entries for nomination were reviewed and voted upon by an extensive panel of veteran sound and music industry professionals in the U.S. and abroad. With the nominations announced, TC Group's Tannoy, Lab.gruppen, Lake, and TC Electronic brands have all been recognized for their outstanding product and software offerings from the past 12 months.

First up, Lab.gruppen's IPD Series has been nominated in the category of Amplification Hardware/Studio & Sound Reinforcement. This brand new amplifier platform has two power configurations, both incorporating integrated DSP, networked monitoring and control via computer or iPad, a 4-channel input matrix, fully configurable front panel controls with graphic display, analogue and AES3 inputs (with redundant failover), definitive Lab.gruppen limiters, and impeccable build quality.

VLS Series from Tannoy has been nominated in the Sound Reinforcement Loudspeaker Technology category. This passive column loudspeaker is the first Tannoy product to incorporate the innovative FAST (Focused Asyemtric Shaping Technology) and further complements the company's architectural audio offerings such as the award-winning QFlex.

The Ditto Looper from TC Electronic was nominated in the Musical Instrument Amplification & Effects Technology category, while its TonePrint Editor was also nominated in the Audio Apps for Smartphone & Tablets category. One of TC Electronic's most successful pedal launches to date, The Ditto Looper provides all of the essentials for looping: record, undo/redo, stop and erase in a minimalist one button' format. TonePrint Editor, meanwhile, allows users to create personal TonePrints that can be used with TonePrint-enabled pedals.

Finally, Lake Controller V6.1, the latest and greatest iteration of the Lake software, now under the stewardship of Lab.gruppen, was nominated in the Signal Processing Technology/Hardware category.

The TEC Awards was established in 1985 to honor outstanding achievement in professional audio production and product innovation. Winners will be determined by online subscribers to Mix, Pro Sound News and Pro Audio Review, and members of professional audio and sound production organizations through online voting conducted by an independent company. Voting will take place in December.

The winners of the 29th Annual TEC Awards will be announced at a ceremony to be held Friday evening, January 24, 2014 at the Anaheim Hilton as a special highlight of the NAMM Show, one of the world's largest music products trade shows.
