METLIFE NAMED TO 00 BEST CORPORATE CITIZEN LIST

NEW YORK, April 21, 2015 - MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced today that it has been named to the 2015 100 Best Corporate Citizens List by Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine. This is the first time MetLife has been named to the influential list.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking is based on a company's disclosure, policies and performance across seven areas: climate change, employee relations, environmental, financial, governance, human rights, and philanthropy and community support. Companies from the Russell 1000 index are evaluated on publicly available data sources covering 298 factors. All data are collected and analyzed by IW Financial, a financial analysis firm serving the Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) investment community.

In February of 2015, MetLife was named the No. 1 in the life and health insurance sector on Fortune magazine's Most Admired Companies list. This was the first time the company led all peers on this ranking.
