Astro Sahut Seruan FINAS, Bantu Artis Veteran Kembali Beraksi

Demi menyahut saranan Perbadanan Kemajuan Filem Nasional Malaysia (FINAS) bagi menggalakkan penglibatan penggiat seni veteran untuk terus kekal relevan dalam industri kandungan karya kreatif tempatan, Astro dengan berbesar hati melancarkan sebuah lagi program berkonsepkan komedi terbaharu berjudul Stand Up Comedy Otai' yang bakal bersiaran pada setiap Khamis mulai 5 Disember 2019, jam 9.30 malam di Astro Warna (saluran 132) dan Warna HD (saluran 124). Program ini juga boleh distrim melalui platform Astro GO dan On Demand untuk pilihan lebih fleksibel.
Menggalas tanggungjawab sebagai Tauke Panggung', penyanyi, pelakon dan pelawak popular tanah air, Joey Daud diangkat sebagai hos program Stand Up Comedy Otai'. Ini merupakan penampilan solo beliau yang pertama sebagai pengacara program. Stand Up Comedy Otai' merupakan salah satu inisiatif Astro dalam menyediakan platform seterusnya membuka ruang kepada golongan penggiat seni veteran yang pada suatu ketika dahulu pernah mengecapi kegemilangan dan diminati ramai untuk kembali beraksi di persada seni tanah air. Seramai 18 orang pelakon dan pelawak veteran yang cukup disegani ramai bakal terlibat menjayakan program ini seperti AR Badul, Salih Yaacob, Fauziah Nawi, Angeline Tan, Azlee Senario, Hamdan Ramli, Saiful Apek, Sheila Mambo, Mr Rama, Dato' Shah Reza, Wan Maimunah, Pak Ya Senario, Jaafar Onn, Shamsul Ghau Ghau, Imuda, Ebby Yus, Jalil Hamid dan Sathiya.
Program yang berkonsepkan persembahan komedi stand-up secara solo ini tampil dengan tema yang berbeza untuk kesemua sepuluh (10) episod. Menariknya lagi, barisan selebriti ini diberikan peluang untuk berkongsi pengalaman dan kisah hidup sepanjang penglibatan mereka di dunia hiburan tempatan. Namun begitu, penceritaan yang dipersembahkan mereka dibuat dalam nada komedi, bagi menepati konsep program. Menerusi Stand Up Comedy Otai' ini juga, buat julung kalinya peminat diberi kesempatan untuk menyaksikan penyatuan semula Untuk Siaran Segera 2 pemain-pemain utama siri komedi Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu' dan Senario' di atas satu pentas yang sama.
Penghasilan program Stand Up Comedy Otai' ini merupakan sebahagian dari inisiatif tanggungjawab korporat yang diambil Astro bagi merealisasikan misi FINAS dan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) untuk terus memperbanyakkan penglibatan penggiat seni veteran di Malaysia khususnya untuk kekal aktif dan relevan dalam industri. Usaha seumpama ini diwujudkan bagi memberi peluang kepada kelompok anak seni ini untuk kembali beraksi demi kelangsungan hidup, seterusnya mengukuhkan taraf kehidupan mereka. Dalam pada itu, sokongan sedemikian merupakan usaha berterusan pihak Astro dalam menjaga kebajikan penggiat seni tanah air, khususnya pemain veteran.
Astro sentiasa bekerjasama dengan badan-badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) yang aktif memperjuangkan nasib para seniman seperti Persatuan Seniman Malaysia (SENIMAN) dalam membantu karyawan yang memerlukan. Sebagai contoh, Astro membuat sumbangan berbentuk wang tunai kepada artis-artis veteran menerusi program-program utama atau signature' seperti All Stars Buka Panggung', Gegar Vaganza 2019' dan banyak lagi.

Astro terus prihatin dalam menjaga kebajikan golongan artis tanah air, khususnya kelompok artis veteran atau orang lama'. Kehadiran mereka dalam industri sebelum ini pernah diraikan peminat, justeru, adalah menjadi tanggungjawab kami sebagai sebuah stesen penyiaran untuk memastikan kedudukan mereka di persada seni ini terus relevan dan diperlukan. Justeru, saranan FINAS baru-baru ini untuk membantu barisan seniman dan artis veteran dengan memperbanyakkan pembabitan mereka ini dalam produksi disambut baik oleh kami di Astro. Penerbitan Stand Up Comedy Otai' ini merupakan salah satu contoh terbaik kami dalam merealisasikan misi FINAS dan Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia untuk membantu menjaga kebajikan golongan ini. Di pentas Stand Up Comedy Otai', barisan artis ini diberikan platform untuk turut sama berkongsi pengalaman mereka dalam mengharungi kanvas seni yang penuh warna warni.Pengalaman berada dalam industri bertahun lamanya boleh dikongsikan bersama penonton, juga barisan pelapis seni dalam suasana santai, berlatarkan elemen komedi. Umpama pepatah lama, Tiada yang lama, tiadalah yang baru'. Kami berharap, dengan adanya komitmen ini, usaha Astro untuk membantu artis-artis veteran tanah air boleh dicapai. Kami akan terus memperbanyakkan penghasilan program-program kreatif tempatan merangkumi setiap sudut hiburan seperti program-program variasi, signature', rancangan realiti, bual bicara, majalah, drama, filem dan banyak lagi dengan melibatkan penggiat seni veteran dalam usaha membuka peluang pekerjaan kepada mereka. Semoga kehadiran mereka untuk kembali aktif mampu menyerikan lagi persada seni tanah air.
