05 Ningbo Tourism Festival to kick off in September to October

The Ningbo Tourism Festival, initiated in 2008, has been successfully held 9 times. It is the biggest all-around tourism festival in Ningbo.

The press conference for the 2015 event, held on August 30, announced that this year's festival will last from September to October. The theme for this year's festival will be Benefiting people, boosting consumption, serving urban and rural areas, and enhancing the city's image.

The tourism festival will be divided into 12 major activities. According to an organizing official, the Citizens Tourism Day will fall on October 17, the third Saturday of October. On that day, a wide range of promotions will be launched in Ningbo, including tourism sports, hotels, and restaurants.

According to the Ningbo Municipal Tourism Bureau, the 2015 Ningbo International Travel Exposition is due to be held at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center from September 3 to 5, kicking off the 2015 Ningbo Tourism Festival.

Jointly hosted by the Ningbo Municipal Tourism Bureau and the Ningbo Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, this years event will occupy a total area of 17,000 square meters with about 800 exhibition booths, demonstrating products from industries including tourism, hotels, rural tours, and hot-spring resorts.

More than 60 entertainment events will be staged during the festival. A world magic tour produced by American Base Entertainment is expected to be the highlight of the festival.
