Actress Lungelo Mpangase says the role she plays on the Showmax telenovela The Wife has been one of the exciting roles she has played in a while.

The 27-year-old told Drum Magazine that viewers of the telenovela loved seeing Xoli onscreen the second she made an entrance and this gave her the motivation to keep bringing the fun energy she brings when shooting.

What people can expect from my character is fun. Fun, fun, fun. She is free spirited. They can expect a lot of action, that is what she is about. She is a woman with a plan. She rolls with the boys and somehow, she always saves the boys. She doesn't even speak a lot, which is what I really (like) about her. But when she opens her mouth, you know she's going to say something really helpful, she told the publication.

The publication notes that even though Xoli has not been with the Zulu family for a long time, she has already proven to be an asset to the Zulu brothers.

She has shot at protesters who came to attack the family and she married her boo Sambulo (Sipho Ndlovu) in a private ceremony, where she was not dressed like a conventional bride and the family did not know until after the fact, as per the publication.

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ACTOR AND CHARACTER Lungelo and Xoli are world apart, according to the Lingashoni actress.

The difference between Xoli and Lungelo is that I am a girly girl' and Xoli is brave and intelligent. Xoli does things that I don't think I would even dream of doing, she's brave and out there, meanwhile, Lungelo is an introvert, she told Sunday World.
