Espial Engages with Metrological to Personalize App UX
September 1, 2015 - Combination yields blended live TV and OTT viewing with a personalized app experience
OTTAWA, Ontario -September 1, 2015 - Transforming the viewing experience worldwide, Espial today announced the successful integration of the Metrological Application Platform with Espial's G4 STB Client. The combination enables operators to quickly deploy operator branded TV app stores in an RDK-compliant user experience.
Operators are experiencing rapidly escalating video competition while at the same time, their subscribers want to access a growing set of web-type applications, said Jaison Dolvane, Espial CEO. We are committed to help operators enhance their user experience and service offerings to delight their subscribers. Metrological's library of over 250 premium Apps and their cloud platform to manage TV App Stores provides an exciting opportunity for operators to offer richer services.
Metrological's cloud-based Application Platform offers lifecycle support for operator TV app stores and content provider apps, enabling operators to manage their app stores with access to business intelligence data and marketing analytics in real-time. Operators can customize their branded TV app store for each market using Metrological's 250+ App Library of premium apps or build their own apps with an open source SDK.
The combination of Espial's G4 Client and our Application Platform enables operators to deliver a complete video experience that combines OTT, Live TV and related app content that is personalized and relevant to consumers, said Jeroen Ghijsen, CEO of Metrological.
