VMware Previews Keynote Sessions for VMworld 2013 Europe, the Leading Virtualization and Cloud Computing Industry Event

PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 10, 2013 VMware, Inc. (NYSE:VMW), the global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, today announced the speaker lineup for the general sessions for VMworld 2013 Europe.

Beginning Oct. 15, 2013, VMworld Europe will take place in Barcelona at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via, where more than 8,000 people are expected to be in attendance. The event will feature nearly 250 unique breakout sessions from VMware and its partners and customers, providing attendees with key insights into the virtualization and cloud computing industry. Attendees will also have access to a wealth of technology partners, with more than 115 sponsors and exhibitors at the conference.

VMware executives will lead two general session presentations during the event:

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at 9 a.m. CEST, the event will begin with a keynote presentation featuring VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger. Gelsinger will discuss the next generation of IT and how the software-defined data center is extending the proven model of virtualization and automated management across storage, networking and security. The keynote presentation will include key announcements and discussions with customers who have used virtualization to become champions of next-generation IT in their own organizations. On Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at 9 a.m. CEST, VMware President and COO Carl Eschenbach and VMware engineers will showcase state-of-the-art technology that is transforming IT by virtualizing and automating compute, storage, networking and security across private and hybrid clouds.
