Fans are still in shock after the sudden and tragic death of rapper AKA. Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (AKA) was gunned down at Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on Friday, 10 February.

EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THE RAPPER'S DEATH According to IOL, AKA's close friend Tebello Tibz Motsoane was also shot dead. Another person, believed to be AKA's bodyguard, was wounded.

In a video that has since become public, a man wearing a white beanie walks towards AKA and Motsoane while they are hugging, and fires a single shot to AKA's head, who died instantly. The gunman then runs across the road and disappears, as per IOL.

According to the Sunday Times, a source close to AKA claimes that the rapper was warned several times not to visit Durban again after the passing of his fianc e Anele Nellie Tembe. The 22-year-old Tembe fell to her death from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel on Loop Street, Cape Town, on 11 April 2021.

His body has arrived in Johannesburg earlier today and his family has asked for privacy and thanked South Africans for their support.
