G tersloh - Arvato Systems has been working successfully with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a cloud service provider for several years. And the cloud business of the IT specialist is growing steadily. Arvato Systems and Amazon Web Services have now agreed to purchase AWS services with a value of several million euros.
By 2017, Arvato Systems and Amazon Web Services (AWS) had already expanded their long term partnership and established the Arvato Systems AWS Business Group. In this context, Arvato Systems bundled its AWS expertise and gradually began to expand its existing consulting and reseller business in the German-speaking region. In the meantime, the Bertelsmann IT subsidiary can rely on extensive experience from successfully implemented cloud projects, a dedicated AWS team and the associated broad-based know-how, which the company can use to add value for its customers.
The increase in demand for Amazon Web Services from an international customer resulted in Arvato Systems negotiating a 12-month agreement with AWS for the purchase of AWS services worth several million euros. By bundling demand volumes, Arvato Systems as a reseller was able to offer attractive AWS conditions and more cost-effective access to dedicated 24/7 AWS support to this major customer. In addition, Arvato Systems will also provide extended services if required.
All in all, such agreements will create a win-win-win situation for all parties involved, both for our customers and for AWS and ourselves, says Manfred Heinen, Senior Vice President at Arvato Systems.
Arvato Systems is a member of the AWS Partner Network (APN) and due to its successful business and the intensive training and certification of its employees an AWS APN Advanced Consulting Partner. As a consulting partner, Arvato Systems supports its customers in using the worldwide portfolio of AWS cloud services for their own innovations and thus accelerating their digital transformation. Arvato Systems migrates customer applications to the cloud and increases the level of automation through the use of AWS. The IT specialist manages both AWS environments and the corresponding infrastructure as well as business-critical applications and processes around the clock so that customers can concentrate on their core business. Examples include migration and operation of SAP on AWS, design and implementation of asset management solutions especially in the media sector, track and trace or serialization systems in the healthcare and supply chain sector or solutions in the e-commerce/retail sector. The expertise and experience of the Arvato Systems AWS Business Group therefore range from simple to complex migrations to the development of modern data platforms and the introduction of DevOps methods.
