Talented actor Oros Mampofu, who played Jama in Skeem Saam recently opened up about his new role Dr Fezile Nodada in Hartklop.

OROS MAMPOFU AS DR FEZILE NODADA TshisaLIVE reports that Dr Fezile Nodada is actor Oros Mampofu's first leading role in an Afrikaans series Hartklop.

The actor, who played Banele in e.tv's soapie Rythm City reveals to the publication that doing his scenes in Afrikaans was the biggest and most exciting challenge.

The star adds that he's learned to not take himself seriously from his latest role and his character is considerate, kind, has a warm heart.

We may have differences, but we actually have more in common if we are willing to look deep enough, says Mampofu about his character.

Mampofu's fans can watch him in Hartklop on kykNET (DStv Channel 144) on Thursdays at 8 pm.

BACKGROUND OF HARTKLOP' kykNET revealed the channel's first medical procedural series Hartklop will star actors Renate Stuurman, Oros Mampofu, Simon Pretorius, Dawid Minnaar, Leandie du Randt, David Louw, Jacques Bessenger, Carla Classen and Marlee van der Merwe.

The Citizen reports that the channel promised viewers that on the show will leave them gasping in disbelief about the fact that it is based on actual events.

Some of the stories will make you laugh; others will bring a tear to your eye, and some will move you deeply with life-and-death situations.

Supporting roles Include Christel van den Bergh, Arno Marais, Rika Sennett, Thulani Mtsweni, Susan Coetzer, Vusi Thanda, Esmeralda Bihl, Christo Davids, Elma Postma, Francois Jacobs and Bouwer Bosch.
