Kerensa Samanidis to oversee BBC iPlayer development

Kerensa Samanidis is joining the BBC as general manager for BBC iPlayer.

She joins the broadcaster from Channel 4 where she worked on developing its international streaming business.

At the BBC Samanidis will be tasked with the delivery of iPlayer's growth strategy and management of the overall iPlayer operation. She will work with the product, marketing and editorial teams.

BBC iPlayer broke a record seven billion programme streams in 2022.
