Promo Producer Johannesburg

We are looking for a full-time middleweight promo producer who is passionate, creative and energetic and keen to work on exciting promo production, as well as small short-form live action jobs.

You need to have a passion for TV and films and an ability to think cleverly about how best to create promos for these, starting with an engaging, original concept, writing up the script and then editing it into a final, arresting piece. You also need to be able to direct motion graphics and sound design. Good researching skills and an astute knowledge of current promo trends and styles is a must, as well as a keen understanding of African pop culture, and the TV programming that reflects this.

Must have at least three years editing experience, with at least one as a promo producer

Ability to produce and write clever concepts

Qualified in short-form scriptwriting or copywriting

Proficient in English

Able to take a brief, live it, apply it and make it a reality

Understanding of TV production

Proficient in Final Cut Pro

Directing experience is a bonus, but you must have an appetite to move into this role

Capable of driving the creation and conceptualisation of a promo through the entire production process to final delivery

Ability to supervise graphics, edit and audio sessions
