Schaeffler stellt auf der EUROBIKE 2014 eine innovative Neuheit in seinem Produktprogramm f r Fahrr der vor: die automatische Fahrradschaltung FAG-VELOMATIC. Ob bergauf, bergab oder auf flacher Strecke, mit einem konventionellen Rad, mit Ketten- oder Nabenschaltung oder einem E-Bike - die FAG-VELOMATIC berechnet auf Basis von Trittfrequenz, Kraft, Radgeschwindigkeit und Neigung immer den optimalen Gang und den perfekten Schaltzeitpunkt. Das garantiert exzellenten Fahrkomfort bei maximaler Flexibilit t. Dank offener Standards ist die Schaltung kompatibel zu jedem Fahrradtyp und jedem Antrieb.
Mit der dazugeh renden App VELODAPTIC k nnen Biker ma geschneiderte Schaltprogramme erstellen. So f hrt jeder immer in seinem optimalen Gang ohne selbst zu schalten. Die App begleitet Biker zudem auf ihren Touren und zeichnet GPS-, Bewegungs- und Leistungsdaten auf.
Fahrkomfort der Extraklasse
Die FAG-VELOMATIC bestimmt je nach Fahrsituation abh ngig von Trittfrequenz, Kraft, Radgeschwindigkeit und Steigung bzw. Gef lle, den optimalen Schaltzeitpunkt und bet tigt die Fahrradgetriebenabe oder Kettenschaltung schnell, schonend und pr zise. Der sanfte Schaltvorgang wird vom Fahrer kaum wahrgenommen. Er schont seine Kraftreserven und kommt entspannter ins Ziel bzw. kann l ngere Strecken bew ltigen. Zudem werden Fahrradkette und Nabenschaltung weniger belastet und fr hzeitiger Verschlei verhindert.
Das manuelle Schalten wird durch die FAG-VELOMATIC vollst ndig ersetzt. ber ein optional erh ltliches und leicht zu bedienendes elektrisches Schaltmodul in Form eines Tippschalters kann der Fahrer selbstst ndig vom Automatik-Modus in den Manuellen Modus wechseln, um f r eine sportlichere Fahrweise auch selbst zu schalten.
Das Kommunikationsmodul vernetzt die FAG-VELOMATIC im E-Bike mit dem E-Antrieb bzw. im konventionellen Fahrrad mit dem Sensor-Tretlager sowie dem optional erh ltlichen elektrischen Schaltmodul und dem Fahrer-Smartphone. Funknetzstandards sind ANT+ und BLE, Vernetzungsstandards sind CAN bzw. CANopen oder LIN.

In Kombination mit der dazugeh renden App VELODAPTIC k nnen Biker individuelle Schaltprogramme f r ihren Fahrstil erstellen. So f hrt jeder immer in seinem optimalen Gang - ohne selbst zu schalten.
Die App funktioniert sowohl f r Tablets als auch f r Smartphones. Je nach Lichtverh ltnissen kann der Fahrer zwischen Tag- und Nachtmodus w hlen.
Die App erfasst die folgenden Bewegungsdaten: Geschwindigkeit, Trittfrequenz, Kraft, Drehmoment, Steigung bzw. Gef lle, Distanz, Position und eine Kompassfunktion. Das Cockpit zeigt dabei jeweils drei der Bewegungsdaten an, die per Klick durchgeschaltet werden k nnen. Auch GPS-Daten zur Standortbestimmung und eine Kartenfunktion stehen ber die App zur Verf gung. Eine statistische Auswertung zur ckgelegter Kilometer, H henmeter, verbrannter Kalorien, eingesetzter Kraft, der Trittfrequenz, des Drehmoments und der Durchschnitts- bzw. H chstgeschwindigkeit ist ebenfalls m glich. Diese Daten k nnen auf weitere Endger te exportiert werden.
Mehr Effizienz f r mehr Reichweite
Das E-Bike ben tigt weniger elektrische Energie, wenn der E-Antrieb im optimalen Betriebspunkt arbeitet. Die FAG-VELOMATIC, als elektrisch sensorischer Linearantrieb, ist mit eigener Software ausgestattet und kommuniziert mit beliebigen E-Bike Steuerungen. Das E-Bike wird in Abstimmung zwischen Fahrer und E-Antrieb im optimalen Fahrradgang geschaltet. Der E-Bike-Antrieb arbeitet so im effizientesten Betriebspunkt, ben tigt damit weniger Energie und die Reichweite des Akkus wird gegen ber dem Einsatz bei herk mmlichen, mechanischen Schaltungen deutlich gesteigert.
Platzsparend und individuell konfigurierbar
Dank der schmalen, extrem leichten Bauform (24 x 180 mm, Gewicht ca. 200 g) findet die Schaltung im Unterrohr oder im Sattelrohr Platz und ist so von au en nicht sichtbar. Die Optik des Fahrrads wird nicht gest rt. ber einen kurzen Schaltzug wird die Verbindung zur Fahrradnabenschaltung oder Kettenschaltung hergestellt.
Die eigene Steuerung und die Bluetooth-Schnittstelle erlauben vielf ltige Kombinationsm glichkeiten, unter anderem mit einem Smartphone, anderen Sensoren, Bedienelementen und Antrieben.
