HONG KONG May 14, 2015 Imagine Communications, a global leader in video infrastructure, advertising systems and workflow management solutions serving media networks, broadcast stations, digital media, communication service provider and enterprise markets, today announced that it will showcase it latest technological innovations at BroadcastAsia 2015, the 20th International Digital Multimedia & Entertainment Technology Exhibition & Conference, 2-5 June 2015, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

This year sees Imagine Communications execute on our vision and provide the proof of concepts and demos that will help our customers develop their transition strategies to an IP-enabled and TV Everywhere future, said Joe Khodeir, senior vice president, Asia Pacific, Imagine Communications. Our next-generation video infrastructure, advertising system and workflow management solutions to be demonstrated at BroadcastAsia 2015 will provide practical solutions to help media companies transition away from legacy, proprietary hardware to IP-enabled, software-defined and cloud-virtualized environments that provide the freedom to grow, change and adapt as and when they are ready.

Visitors to the Imagine Communications booth, 5B3-03 on the 5th floor of the Marina Bay Sands, will experience first-hand how the company's vision and innovation are poised to guide the media and entertainment market through the transition to a future defined by IP, software-defined networks and workflows, virtualization and multiscreen. Advanced technology and solutions at the Imagine Communications booth will include:

Baseband Routing: Having its debut in Southeast Asia is the newly designed Platinum VX digital video router. From high-density utility video routers to enterprise routers that scale to over 2Kx2K, Imagine Communications' award-winning Platinum line is designed to meet current requirements and provide a path to an IP routing future. Supporting matrix sizes up to 288x288, the Platinum VX small to midsized router provides category-leading density, reliability and fully redundant HD/SDI routing up to 3 Gb/s, at a competitive price point.

Cloud Video Platform: The recently announced CloudXtream cloud video platform for multiscreen video distribution and monetization, will be showcased at BroadcastAsia for the first time. CloudXtream helps meet the growing and complex array of video distribution requirements, including live video, video on demand (VOD), cDVR, DAI, packaging, encoding, transcoding, storage management and cloud orchestration.

Cloud Playout: The industry's first fully IP-enabled, software-based, integrated cloud playout platform running on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) IT platforms, VersioCloud simplifies the creation and management of new channels. A demonstration of VersioCloud, as well as local, virtualized playout from a private data center, will be shown along with examples of how these playout technologies can be used to easily add additional channels, reduce risk and support disaster recovery.

IP Video Distribution: Also on display will be solutions based on the Selenio platform for video delivery in multiple resolutions, formats and streams simultaneously. The SelenioNext high-density solution for bulk content providers and CDNs, and the SelenioFlex low-density solution for content owners and broadcasters, both provide high performance adaptive bitrate transcoding for cross-platform delivery. The company will also showcase TelurioEdge , its adaptive streaming solutions to manage the interface between client device and content stores for a host of streaming services such as catch-up TV and video-on-demand.

TV Everywhere: From live and file media processing and ABR transcoding to Just-in-Time Packaging and advanced advertising, a variety of end-to-end, software-based TV Everywhere solutions will be demonstrated that help media companies embrace the money-making potential of multiscreen.

Software-Defined Workflow Management: Zenium provides an agile software engine that enables broadcasters and service providers to quickly adapt their workflows to capitalize on new service opportunities and simplify their management.

Software-Defined Networking (SDN): The Magellan SDN Orchestrator software control system for managing hybrid facilities protects customers' existing baseband investments, while providing a clear path to an open, interoperable and IP-based future. Imagine Communications will also demonstrate the newly-announced Selenio Uncompressed-Over-IP (UCIP) module that provides the on-ramps and off-ramps to IP, converting SDI signals to IP streams and IP streams to SDI signals in a single, space-saving platform.

Content management: The Nexio Ingest Suite, a set of flexible software tools for managing content ingest and storage will also be on display. When integrated with Imagine Communications' innovative Nexio Studio Suite and market-leading Nexio video servers, the application enables users to more easily manage video assets that have been ingested and utilise them for live and studio-based production environments. Already fully SD/HD compatible, the Nexio platform also provides Ultra HD capability.

Branding and Graphics: Imagine Communications will also showcase its next-generation, multichannel branding platform Nexio Channelbrand . Nexio Channelbrand offers cross-platform animation builder capabilities, which enable an integrated approach to graphics template creation and allow for simplified and streamlined workflows from creation to on air.
